Chiaki Fenemore

Chiaki began working as a consultant in the Hamilton office in 2022. He completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 at the University of Auckland, working on a final year project titled “Acoustics at the zoo”, and is currently completing a PhD titled “Acoustics of cross-laminated timber”. Previously, he has worked with Dotterel Technologies on a Callaghan Innovation grant investigating noise from UAVs (drones).

Chiaki’s interest in acoustics grew from music. He has experience playing and teaching guitar in a wide variety of ensembles and holds a Grade 8 certificate from Trinity College London in Guitar – Rock and Pop. He also enjoys experimenting with other instruments, including piano and bass guitar.
